International Nurses’ Day is observed around the world on the 12th of May, to mark the contributions that nurses make to society. This particular date was chosen as it is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, as a tribute to her work in improving and regulating sanitation in hospital settings.
As a small token of appreciation, Clonallon would like to wish nurses around the globe a Happy International Nurses’ day, especially those within our own health service, the NHS and the HSE in the Republic of Ireland. We appreciate the hard work and commitment our nurses display year round and in particular for their efforts throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
“For the sick, it is important to have the best.” – Florence Nightingale.
